Terms of use

These terms govern your use of the Modakharaty website and the products it sells, and form your contract with the Seller (as defined under “Who you are buying from”). By using the site or purchasing any product, you accept them.

Who you are buying from

Modakharaty is a brand owned by two companies depending on where you are. Purchases made from inside Egypt are sold by Media Tourch LLC, commercial register no. 128626 (Cairo Investment Commercial Registry), tax card no. 726-606-073, registered at 2128 Zahraa Nasr City, Flat 1, Nasr City, Cairo, Egypt. They are charged in Egyptian pounds and appear on your statement as Media Tourch.

Purchases made from outside Egypt are sold by Demandcom for Technology L.L.C., commercial licence CN-5036401 (Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development), registered in Al Mafraq Industrial Area, Abu Dhabi, UAE. They are charged in US dollars and appear as Demandcom.

The books, the prices, and the refund terms are the same either way. Only the selling entity and the currency differ. Every obligation in this document falls on the entity you actually bought from.

1) What we sell

Modakharaty sells digital books on money and economics, in PDF format. Each book is available in Arabic and in English, and you choose your language at checkout. You receive two versions of the same book: one laid out for desktop reading and one for mobile — download whichever suits you, or both.

We sell no physical goods, so there is no shipping, no delivery charge, and no customs.

2) Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to purchase. You confirm that the details you enter are accurate and are your own.

3) Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details confidential. If you suspect someone has accessed your account, sign out of all devices from your account page and tell us.

You may not share your account with others so they can access books you purchased.

We may suspend an account that breaches these terms, and will tell you why.

4) Prices and payment

Prices are shown in Egyptian pounds for buyers in Egypt, and in US dollars elsewhere.

Payment is processed by Stripe or Paymob. Your card details never pass through us.

Prices include any applicable tax where such tax applies.

We may change prices at any time; this never affects an order already confirmed.

5) Book licence

Buying a book grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence. You may:

Download the file, keep it, and read it on your own devices.

Print one copy for your personal use.

Quote from it in your own writing with attribution.

You may not:

Resell or distribute it, whether for payment or free.

Upload it to a public platform or file-sharing site.

Use it to train artificial intelligence models.

Remove ownership marks or alter it to obscure its source.

6) Intellectual property

All site content — text, covers, design, and the books themselves — is the exclusive property of Demandcom for Technology L.L.C. or its licensors, protected by UAE intellectual property law and the relevant international conventions.

7) Affiliate programme

Commission is 20% of the net sale after tax and payment-gateway fees are deducted.

Whoever recruits an affiliate earns 5% of the net on each of that affiliate's sales. It is deducted from the platform's share, and the affiliate keeps their full commission.

A referral is credited for 60 days from the reader clicking your link.

The minimum payout balance is USD 100 or the equivalent, and payouts run once a month between the 25th and the last day of the month.

The dollar conversion rate is fixed at 50 EGP and reviewed twice a year (1 June and 1 December). Balances use the fixed rate, not the live market rate.

Commission is credited on sale as “on hold”, and becomes withdrawable after 14 days (the refund window).

Commission is reversed if the buyer receives a refund.

Spam promotion, bidding on Modakharaty brand search terms, self-referral, and false claims about the books are all prohibited. A breach forfeits outstanding commission.

8) Nature of the content

Modakharaty books are educational and analytical content about money and economics. They are not investment, financial, legal, or tax advice tailored to your circumstances. Your financial decisions are your own responsibility, and you should consult a licensed professional before any significant one.

9) Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site for any unlawful purpose, not to transmit malicious software, not to attempt unauthorised access to our systems, and not to run automated scraping that overloads the server.

10) Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Seller (as defined under “Who you are buying from”) is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from your use of the site or the products. Our total liability is limited to the amount actually paid for the product concerned.

11) Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Abu Dhabi have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

12) Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version in force at the time of your purchase governs your order. Continuing to use the site after an update is published constitutes acceptance of the new version.
